It seemed like a short stay in hospital, around 3 days overall.  After delivery Kim and Pearl both rested well and began the recovery quickly.  Since then we've all been trying our best to get to know each other.  Pearl's already met many of her friends and family.  Grandma Dyvig was her very first introduction with the  Cheneys', Hylands' and Andrews all stopping by the hospital for the Birthday Party!

Pearl's first trip home was on a terrific Saturday afternoon.  Grandpa and Grandma Engeltjes were soon to arrive from Archer, IA and Aunt Jessica found a last minute flight from Chicago to join the celebration and paparazzi.  Grandpa Dyvig made it that afternoon after driving two straight days from the East Coast.

Pearl has been amazingly content and quick to let Kim know she's hungry.  It's taken some effort but feeding and sleeping skills are improving all the time.  Pearl began opening her eyes and looking around more alertly Sunday.  She's taken her interest in eating to a new level and all signs point to a great start including a strong set of lungs when she uses them!
